Scannell Properties, the real estate development and investment company specialising in large industrial and logistics projects, has announced construction of a 54,868 m² speculative logistics development in San Pietro Mosezzo, Novara, Italy.

Scannell Properties is partnering with Techbau on this project: Techbau, a leading Italian engineering and construction company, provided land development and urbanisation support and will be responsible for all construction services.

Located in a strategic position, 52 km from Milan, 2 km from the A4/E64 Turin-Milan-Trieste motorway, 40 minutes from Milan Malpensa Airport and less than 2 hours from the Port of Genoa, the site is a prime logistics hub.

The new development will comprise two logistics buildings – one of 30,564 m² and the second 20,304 m². Each building has been designed to meet the needs of high-flow, large-scale logistics operators and will be fully flexible with the ability to create larger or smaller warehouse space as required. They will also provide separate office and welfare areas. Both buildings have been designed to LEED GOLD certification standards and will include a photovoltaic roofing system, electric vehicle charging points and electric heat pumps. Construction is due to complete in early 2023.
